Addressing the Corona Virus
[Updated 3/18/2020]
Dear Members of Eastside,
With Jesus Christ as our focus, Eastside will be shifting to an online-only worship format until further notice. View the services online on our Website, Facebook Page, or our Youtube Page. Look forward to a service each Sunday morning and a message each Wednesday from Eastside as well!

A Few Encouragements:
We encourage you to watch the Sunday service together with your family and participate as you normally would at Eastside. Make it a priority to continue your normal practice of worship. At a time when so much is unknown and disrupted, consistently hearing about your Savior’s love and learning from God’s wisdom are paramount. We will be at work on the format of the service over the coming weeks and will look for feedback in the days ahead. More information will be coming soon!
If you have not already downloaded our Eastside App on your phone, we encourage you to do so. This is a great way to stay connected to Eastside and we will be using features, like notifications, quite a lot during this time. Other benefits include listening to the sermon podcast, Scripture verses, mobile giving, and more. Click HERE for directions on how to download.
Even though we cannot physically gather, offerings are still required to carry out our ministry. WELS President Schroeder highlighted this in his message to the Synod. He said, “In times such as these, as your local ministry strives to meet these challenges, your continuing and regular offerings are as vital as ever. God’s work must go on.” It’s important for us to remember that the regular bills for the church still remain, as well as our outreach offerings to our schools and missions. As God has blessed you and as a way to show your trust in him, please continue to support the work God has given us to do. Give your offerings through the App, through our online Giving Page, or mail your check to the church at 2310 Independence Lane Madison, WI 53704.
Finally, remember the promise of our God in times of uncertainty and trouble: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” I look forward to the unique ways which God will prosper Eastside Lutheran during the coming weeks and months. He is faithful and he has a good purpose for all of us, even in this. May the Lord bless you and your family as we worship separately and yet together.
Confident in Christ,
Pastor Schlicht, Pastor Berg, & Ted Turnquist (Church President)
