Eastside Lutheran is collecting back to school supplies and clothing for the children of our neighborhood school (Sandburg School, Madison, WI). This area has a high percentage of low income and homeless families. The students of Eastside Lutheran will pack backpacks and write notes of encouragement. The Principal of Sandburg Elementary says that there are children that lack the necessary clothing to attend school. A Thrivent Grant will help us provide the extra materials necessary to complete this project. We have already begun the collection process and will continue to do so until early September. Please bring backpacks, basic school supplies, and even new underwear and socks for children. Collection boxes are located in the school lobby and the church narthex. This is a great way to serve the needy in our community and glorify God. Please consider donating!
