Perhaps the most common stereotype given by people who are looking for an excuse not to be in church says: “The church is all about money. That’s all they ever talk about. That’s all they’re after.”

Have you ever seen a sign that says, “No Shirt. No Shoes. No Service.” I don’t see them around much anymore but growing up they were quite common in restaurants in northern Wisconsin.

The streets of Jerusalem were bursting at the seams with people. You can feel the joy and excitement as the Festival of Shelters or Tabernacles draws to a close after a week-long celebration.

Psalm 23 is arguably the most beloved psalm in the Bible. Two quick internet searches for the most popular psalms both had Psalm 23 at the top of their list. By the end of the service, you’ll have sung it three different times in three different settings and there’s more that we could have sung.
