It may not have the “wow” factor of Avengers: End Game. It may not create the buzz of Game of Thrones. But the Bible is full of “superheroes,” bloody battles and power struggles. Maybe you’ve just never heard the stories?

Starting June 9, Eastside Lutheran Church will be exploring 12 Bible Stories They Don’t Teach You in Sunday School. As we do so, we aren’t just going to focus on the controversy and shock. We will see God’s Law and Gospel clearly on display as the Lord used these often tragic and sinful events to carry out his will. Finally, we will see how we can learn from these stories as we strive to carry out God’s will today.
